Fully Hosted - Planned Preventative Maintenance
Programme.
The starting point for any
system is to produce an asset register that includes all critical assets within
the production plant. The register will include equipment directly involved
with product manufacture as well as support equipment such as pumps and
compressors.
A maintenance plan is drawn
up for each of the assets. Each plan will bring together our experience, local
knowledge and manufacturers recommendations.
Some assets will have more than
one plan, not all tasks require downtime. Our clients quickly realise that a
lot of routines are carried out during production time. The feedback from these
activities focuses the plan over the following weeks, so the plan can change and
update on a regular basis to optimise the use of the available downtime.
A three week rolling programme is communicated
to the client so that production planners have a warning of upcoming activities
and can take the maintenance requirements into account when production targets
are known.
The plan can be delayed or
indeed changed to take opportunity of production inactivity thereby helping the
client to optimise overhead costs.
Plan performance reports
are set to the client on a monthly basis. These include work activities and can
record downtime if required. The reports can also be produced to help with engineering
performance measurements, whether by team, shift or individuals.
